We are DETROIT VOICE

 

Detroit Voice is a high school a cappella group located out of Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Michigan. Detroit Voice sings only music originating in Michigan and Motown music. Detroit Voice has recorded 2 full length albums "Sounds Like Home" (2012) and "More Than Motown" (2017).  They are also featured on "Clarkston A Cappella, Volume 1" in which they have a song featuring Delilah from the show The Sing Off.

Detroit Voice has performed for Pentatonix, were featured performers of the Legends of Doo-Wop Tour, appeared at Mowtown Night for the Detroit Tigers, and were featured performers at the National A Cappella Convention in Memphis, TN. and the National High School A Cappella Festival in Kettering, Ohio.

Encore (grades 7-9)

Encore is a mixed voice group currently made up of students in grades 7-9.  That doesn't mean rising 6th graders (current 5th) can not try out, but music reading is a big part of being successful in the audition process so it's important they read music if they'd like to try.  The group sings popular music from throughout the decades and even has a few songs on iTunes.  Click here to listen.

synergy (grades 8-12)

Synergy is a mixed voice group currently made up of students in grades 8-10, but open to students through 12th grade.  The group sings popular music from throughout the decades and has several singles on iTunes.  This year they are competing for the first time in the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) and were even featured on the Best of High School A Cappella (BOHSA) compilation with their single "LOVE LIKE WOE".  Click here to listen.

Detroit Voice is a mixed voice group currently made up of students in grades 9-12.  The group sings music of all genres from Michigan, Motown, and Detroit artists.  They have released two full length albums since 2012, have been featured on the Best of High School a Cappella (BOSHA) compilation many times, and have been selected to perform at the National A Cappella Convention (Memphis, TN.) and the National High School A Cappella Festival (Kettering, OH.)  Click here to listen.
